Baquia: Plume
Baquia: Plume
In ancient Egypt, wings symbolized protection and connection to the divine. BAQUIA’s starting point was a set of wings adorning a sarcophagus, which led to a series of paintings by Brook exploring the feather motif as an overlapping pattern. In its final form, the plumage, ready to take flight, blossoms into the shape of a petal and is reborn as a flower. Within its delicate lines and repeating forms BAQUIA carries the essence of transformation, from seed to bloom. Printed on uncoated non-woven wallcovering in Plume.
