The starting point for this pattern was a vintage curtain print from Brook’s grandparents’ home. Our interpretation reworks the 1980s design through an abstract lens. Small hand-painted leaves form clusters and graphic strands to conjure up a pattern of climbing vines. Where one trail breaks off, another winds its way around, all intimately connected. Spare yet layered, each sequence contains variations in color, scale, and shape, resulting in unique individual elements within a cohesive design. Printed in classic shades of blue on oyster Irish linen, Hillside is inspired by Brook’s grandmother and sister, who are both named Ivy.
